HOW to Change-3 Steps

We all want to make changes in our lives, but let’s be real…CHANGE IS HARD.

So that’s #1. Expect that whatever change you are going to make, is going to be hard.

Knowing this ahead of time is like having a secret weapon. You will be ready when things get tough because you have been expecting it.

#2. Be solid AF in WHY you want to make this change.

Remember! Your brain is going to be throwing a temper tantrum.

It’s going to try its hardest to get you to stay the same as you were yesterday and the days before that and to continue to live on autopilot.

If your why behind this change isn’t compelling enough to push you through all that brain bullying, you’re going to waffle, you’re going to second guess yourself, you’re going to wonder “if it’s even worth it” and you’re going to talk yourself out of making any changes.

And then you will be right where you are today. Wanting to make a change, but not doing anything about it.

Then, you will have to deal with a different level of mental drama because you know, deep down, that you want to make a change!

#3. Take 1 small step towards your change.

It doesn’t have to be a big step. Just put 1 foot forward. It most likely seems harder than it actually is. “Thank you, brain!”

But once you take that small step, you will realize it isn’t that scary.

Then you can take another small step.

The more steps you take, the more momentum you will gain.

And you will be well on your way, to making the changes you want to be making.
