Healthy Eats

Why is eating healthy so hard?
It's not really.
But your brain tells you it is.
It only seems hard, because it is different from what you are used to.
To make changes, you cannot go through the same, familiar motions you are used to.
And your brain doesn't like that. It sees it as inefficient, a waste of energy.
So let's show your brain what it really takes to make changes.
Let's brainstorm:
Walk down different aisles in your grocery store
Find new recipes
Try new foods
Get creative with substituting "better" foods in your favorite recipes
Make meals/snacks instead of grabbing a pre-packaged, convenient snack
Am I missing anything?
Does this list look long and unattainable to you?
If you answered yes, again, it's your brain trying to be efficient and avoid change.
This is normal.
But this is the thing - your brain is not looking to the future.
It's not looking at the long-term effects of putting unhealthy things, into your body.
It doesn't care about the possible consequences of eating those pre-packaged, convenient foods.
It doesn't care about how the regular intake of sugar affects your blood glucose, your insulin levels, your other hormones, and your weight.
All it cares about is putting that easy, convenient, delicious thing in your mouth, right now.
If you are ready to make some changes, but are unsure how, start noticing your brain.
Notice how it wants to hold you back.
And decide to move forward anyway.
If you could use some help with noticing your brain and making some healthy, long-term changes in your life, I would love to help.
Let me show you how.
