Plans! Ha!

Plans are so great!
Until they don’t work out.
And then they aren’t so great.
And then we are irritated or stressed because things aren’t work out how we had envisioned them.
We put a lot of time and emotion in our plans, so it makes sense we feel this way when things “don’t go as planned”.
What if things weren’t meant to go as planned?
What if I told you this new course is the plan?
And it is.
Because that is what is happening whether we like it or not.
So we can decide to make the best of it or fight it the entire way.
Plans are really just thoughts or ideas.
They are just things we created with our minds.
Which means we can also “plan” to shift when needed.
We can make a new plan with what we have in front of us, knowing that the old plan was just a thought.
How cool is it that we can do that?
So next time, things don’t go as planned, try this thought out:
“This is how it was actually meant to go, anyways”.
Give the “new plan” some room.
Who knows, it may work out just as well or even better.
