We expect immediate replies to our texts or calls.

We expect to see immediate results when we start going to the gym.

We expect to be an immediate star at the activity we just learned.

We live in a time where everything is happening so fast and if it’s not, we think something has gone wrong.

And we always make it mean something has gone wrong with us.

“I’m not creative enough.”

“They must not like me anymore.”

“I’m never going to look that good.”

“This is too hard.”

When we start to believe those thoughts, we go from fast, fast, fast, to a full stop.

We stop posting.

We stop reaching out.

We stop going to the gym.

We stop trying new things.
