Steps Forward
My clients want to lose weight and increase their fitness.
In the beginning, they often beat themselves up for “waiting so long” or “letting myself get to this point”.
I like to point out how they decided to work with me and they pulled the trigger to make it happen.
This simple but significant step is often overlooked.
Because they are so busy looking behind them, focusing on what they should have done.
But they didn’t.
And now they are here.
Here could mean many things, but we often look at it as the place we don’t want to be.
Instead of the place we are meant to be.
I say “meant to be”, because they are here and there is no changing that.
So now what?
Let’s slow down and notice that simple, but significant step.
It is a step towards improving their life.
It is a step towards improving their health and longevity.
It is a step towards feeling better.
But the part that matters, is that they are taking steps.
No matter how small they seem, they are still steps forward.
And the more you take, the bigger they will become.
